So . . . Francine did have a date for Homecoming. And as a result, Katchoo was out another radio.
Damn art supplies and cigarettes costing money -- if not for that, she'd be on the roof or in the rec room, channeling hersulking irritation sulking into canvas or paper. Instead, Katchoo was out on the front step of the store again today, music blasting from inside and her usual pack of cigarettes and lighter on the steps beside her as she experimented with charcoal, heavy, angry swaths of black dashed across the paper. And then her fingers. And her lighter. And her cigarette pack.
Messy, but cathartic.
