Chilly Boulder, Monday afternoon

Let's see, Buffy had had some bad mornings before, but waking up on the bank of a duck pond had to be up there in the top five. She'd gone back to the dorms, cleaned up by way of like three showers (despite having beat up the Willow lookalike in a body of water, she still felt sort of dirty), and then decided she wasn't doing anything today. Okay, later she'd patrol. But right now, she was going to sit here with a sundae and pretend she'd never had any caffeine pill-induced breakdowns.

At one point while thinking the weekend over she said aloud, "What the hell?" only for the clerk to replay with "YEAH I KNOW."
