The Perk [Wednesday morning]

Triela stood in front of the Perk with her stuff. A cello case with a long shoulder strap, a small suitcase, and an oversized leather art tube were all she needed. She wasn't at all sure why Hillshire had wanted to meet out in the town itself rather than at the dorms, but she couldn't really say 'no' to him just because it was dumb.

It was cold, but she had on her heavy coat and her gloves. And she didn't really feel it that much anyway. The cybernetics could handle a wider range of temperature than her original parts.

When she'd first arrived, twenty minutes earlier, she'd fought with herself about whether she should buy Hilshire a coffee or something. On the one hand, she knew what he liked and was sure he'd enjoy it. On the other hand the man didn't take gifts from her well. He'd get awkward, and then maybe a bit self-satisfied. In the end she'd decided she just didn't want to deal with it, so she stood in front of the coffee shop with no decent excuse for doing so.

Stupid Hilshire. Stupid mission. Why couldn't he just show up already?

[Triela is around before she leaves. The Perk, of course, is open for your Perk-related needs.]
