Police Station: Wednesday

Dale had finished his paperwork earlier in the morning and was now sipping his cup of coffee as he stared out at the morning fog.

His thoughts drifted to another small town and the friends he had left behind there. It wasn't often that Dale slipped into one of these moods and it had been a long time since he felt even the slightest twinge of being homesick.

But right now he'd probably give up coffee and doughnuts all together if one of his friends or colleagues stepped out of that bank of fog for a visit.

Okay maybe he'd just give up doughnuts.

Dale wasn't the only one being reminded of other locations thanks to the fog; in Daisy's case, however, it was simply a matter of feeling like, finally, some normal bloody weather in this place!

"Morning, Coop," she greeted, up and about to refresh her cup of tea.

"So far, so good." Really, it'd be perfect, like old time's sake, if only she had a pot of bad coffee. "Bloody awful weather we're having."

She didn't sound too much like she considered it bloody awful at all, though. Not one bit.

As far as Daisy was concerned, there really couldn't be a discussion about weather without mentioning literal rain of cats and dogs.

"Tons of mornings like this, and even afternoons, in London," Daisy mused with a glance toward the windows.

"No," Daisy said, shaking her head. "Not really. Makes it just feel more like home."

"I just hope," Daisy said, "next time I visit, I'll actually know I'm visiting unlike over Christmas."

"Oh, I was in London for Christmas," Daisy said. "I'm not sure exactly how, but I was, and then I was back here a little later when it was all over. Kind of nice; I think I saved a bunch on flight tickets."

"Pain in the bum trying to get caught up on my paperwork when I got back, though," Daisy admitted.
