Lindsay was in a very quiet mood for the past few days and it continued into today. At the moment she was e-mailing a couple people from home trying to explain and apologize for what happened over the weekend.

It was amazingly easy to discover where people lived and worked in this town. Even when you weren't computer savvy.

"So, what's pot?" Ronon asked, voice gruff and face unamused as he leaned heavily on whatever furniture was nearby.

Amazingly enough, Tyler was there after his class to bother Lindsay, not Tony.

Go figure.

"So ..." he began. "Interesting week?"

"Something you cook food in?"

"You could say that," Linz said fighting the urge to smack herself in the head. "And you?"

"Someone came to my office Monday to tell me not to kill Tony. That was new," Tyler commented. "You feeling okay?"

"Oh I'm peachy," Lindsay said in a weary tone. "Last weekend I pissed off a bunch of my friends then I screamed at Tony like a banshee and just before you got here the gym teacher confronted me about getting ratted out to his boss."

She then gave Tyler a grin. "So let me ask you: Is it more normal for people to show up at your office and then ask you to kill Tony?"

"I can honestly say it's never happened that way," Tyler said, surprised. "It happens to you? And how come you ratted out Ronon, anyhow? I don't know him, but he seems decent."

Sure it was. "So how come you're complaining about it to the principal?" It wasn't his intention to look imposing, that was more a byproduct of him living and breathing.

He might not mean to be intimidating but that of course just set off a bit of a stubborn streak in Lindsay.

"Who says I did?" She demanded.

Her stubborn demand just amused him. "You do," Ronon supplied.

She sighed. "Well the dreads were a big factor. Then I saw him eating everything in sight at a buffet and he was acting really paranoid," Lindsay said, "So my gut told me he was on pot."

Tyler looked at her skeptically.

"So profiling lives on in San Francisco," he observed. "That makes the anti-drug assembly your fault."

A pause.

"I ended up singing. In a costume."

She wasn't backing down from this. He had nothing on her.

"Me? No. You must mean that Abbie Carmichael someone mistook me for last week."

Denial! Woo!

"Nah, she said Lindsay Boxer," Ronon said, enunciating her name to make sure his English was clear. "And by she, I mean you."

"Hey, I made a call about one guy," she said holding up her hands, "Someone who was showing distinct signs. If your principal went overboard that's her deal."

She cracked a grin. "What kind of costume?"

Ah shit.

"Well... then... Fuck."

She flailed a bit. "I mean come on! Look at you! You have the hair, you had the munchies and acting all paranoid! What's someone supposed to think?"

Ronon snorted. "That I'm hungry and don't know you." The first thing he really had no defense for.

"The same as my Halloween costume." He wasn't making this easy on her, no. "How come you were shrieking at Tony?"

"He slept with my friend," she said lamely. "And I got irrationally angry and went off on him. Don't get me started on my spiral of shame because it'll just keep spiraling. What was the costume?"

Yes she was trying to change the subject in a rather clumsy way.

"If you're going to yell at Tony every time he sleeps with someone, you'll be screaming the rest of your life," Tyler advised, and no matter that he'd thrown a screwdriver about this particular incident. But he did feel bad enough about that whole mess to answer the question.

"And it was a TV character."

... in a way.

Lindsay shot him a glare. "Look, I spent ten years as a cop. I have instincts. Mine told me you were a pothead and... Okay, I was wrong I guess," she babbled. "But if you were in my shoes you'd see why I thought that annnnnd I'm just going to shut up now before you just rip my arms off or something."

"I'm not going to go off on him for sleeping with everyone," she grumbled, "it was just an invasion between my work life and personal life that I didn't care for. Like I said, it's irrational but it set me off."

She then gave Tyler a look. "Pepper mentioned something about sending you flowers?"

"But you don't get to control your friends' sex lives," Tyler pointed out. "Was this the one you said would probably hit on me if I breathed in her general air space?"

Stellar taste, on Tony's part, if it was, but whatever.

He rubbed his chin. "Flowers? That might have happened."

"Yes. That would be the friend I was talking about that slept with Tony. I did mention being irrational about it? Right?" Lindsay groaned. And yes, pepper mentioned ordering flowers for you. From Tony."

he had no idea why he was being such a pain in the ass with her today. She was just lucky.
