The Perk - Saturday Morning

Tomoyo wanted tea. She had woken up in a strange room, in a strange building, without her bodyguards. And Sakura seemed to be nowhere to be found.

Not to mention this was clearly not Japan.

But Tomoyo was a proper girl, and she did what a lady ought to do when confronted with such a situation. 1) Call her mother. Who, as usual, was busy.

Option two: tea.

Which left a small, ten-year-old girl, calmly sipping her tea and watching the other patrons of the establishment and thinking up new ideas for Sakura's costumes. She might as well make the best of the opportunity.

[OOC: Yes, I'm cruel. Dōjima Yurika is now Daidōji Tomoyo from Cardcaptor Sakura. The sheer amount of cute ought to be illegal. Short periods of AFK, as I turn myself into a fake-ginger.]

Grub. Grub. Grub.

Timon was a meerkat on a mission, here. The place he was in seemed to be a little on the... wintry side, for bugs. Which meant slim pickins for a hungry guy like him.

Good thing for eating establishments and coffee shops!

"I'll have a centipede macchiato with extra aphid squeezins," he said as he climbed up onto the counter. "And don't you dare go easy on the centipede, either. I know a guy who knows a guy. And the guy he knows knows a buncha guys. Who are all lions."

Stupid Italy! Stupid, stupid Italy! Germany wasn't sure how, but things had gotten really weird, and it was probably Italy's fault. So Germany was stomping about in big war boots, as Germany does, looking for things to invade.

"YOU DERE!" he stormed into the cafe and pointed at the girl at the table. "Have you been invaded yet?"

He couldn't keep all those little Eastern European ones apart, but he did know he needed to get on them before Russia did.

Germany narrowed his eyes a little at the girl who was making no sense at all.

"You're all cute and such," he noted, "like France. Mein Gott, you're not Luxembourg, are you?"

"An ally, then!" Germany realized, and looked...at little more relieved for it. He pulled up a chair at the girl's table and sat down. "Das ist gut. Maybe you can tell me was ist going on heir."

"Battle?" Germany had to know more! "Where? Between who and who? Who won? Was anything invaded?"

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2009-02-07 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"Was ist the Clow?"

Germany had never heard of it before, and this was quite distressing.

Germany grunted a little. He always thought Japan was a little weird.

"How can you not know," he grumbled, "who I am? In a short time, I will be the most powerful nation in die welt."

"Germany has more important matters to deal with than remembering tiny little countries."

[identity profile] senor-chado.livejournal.com 2009-02-07 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Germany is rising," and, indeed, he was, standing up from where he'd sat at the table, "from the mistakes of its past to the glory it has always been destined for."

"No, I don't mean a chai," Timon said in a very dry, I know exactly what I'm talking about sort of tone as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I mean centipedes. They have the most satisfying sort of crunch. I'll settle for millipedes if that's all they have, but they better not be expecting a tip."

Timon was very choosy about his bugs.

"I will not lower myself to eating the cultivated buggery that they sell in such establishments," Timon insisted, crossing his arms over his chest. "Crickets and mealworms, that's all they have there. Where's the variety? Spice it up with a few cockroaches, maybe. A dung beetle or two! Some termites, for fiber!"

He sniffed and peered down over the edge of the counter, trying to puzzle out a way down without his warthog companion rushing to his aid.

"Fine, they don't serve meerkats here. I know the type. I'll have to look for service somewhere else."

Timon, who was now on his hands and knees and boggling at the drop that the way back down from the counter presented him with, looked flatly at the girl, one eyebrow raised.

"I am not a cat," he said, flatly. And then, upon further consideration, he added, "but I'll be happy to meow now and then if you'll let me ride around on your head."

Sometimes, one just had to sacrifice his pride for the sake of transportation.

[Narrator] And so Blossom AND Bubbles headed into town for a healthy breakfast before starting their day. And look, there was a friendly looking coffee house open for business. Perhaps they would be able to provide some breakfasty-type baked goods to two hungry girls.
---

Blossom landed at the door to the Perk and held it open for her sister. "Come on, Bubbles. They should have something breakfasty here. And if not, I am sure that the kind shopkeeper can direct us."

"I want a double-mochaccino with extra whip cream and a splash of raspberry syrup," Bubbles cheerily told the NPC attendant. "But make one of 'em decaf or it'll stunt my growth."
