The kitchen staff stared at Prince Edward when he came into work. He was looking decidedly normal; not princely at all. They snickered and Prince Edward glared, realizing his mistake.

"Get to work, peasants! Or I shall dispatch you all at once!" Threatening them didn't seem to affect their otherwise snickering selves.

"You won't like my sword! Trust me you filthy beasts!"

Prince Edward might be suffering tension.

Woe.

It was against her better judgment to stop by and say hello to Edward post-skating. Her skinned knee was properly bandaged, and she hoped she looked presentable enough to visit with a prince.

"Good day, Edward!" Her voice was a bit breathless and she was amazed at how just the sight of him could make her smile so widely.

"Adora!" He temporarily waved goodbye to tension and gave her a winning smile.

"Ahhh, you look lovely! How are you?"

How she managed not to turn into a puddle on the floor at that was beyond Adora's comprehension.

"You're incredibly sweet, Edward. It's no wonder I couldn't help stopping to say hello even looking like...well, like I fell down a lot today. Which would be true."

His eyes narrowed. "Who was pushing you down?" Of course someone had to push her, right?

"No one pushed me," she assured him. "I was learning how to roller skate and it seems I'm rather bad at it!" She was very excited for someone who'd fallen on her knees and butt repeatedly all afternoon.

He noticed her excitement and it was catching. Still -- "What is this roller skate and are you hurt terribly?"

"They're little shoes with wheels that you can move quickly on," she explained. "But I'm not terribly hurt, just a little scraped." Adora was a little embarrassed at that.

"Oooh! Was it fun? It sounds lovely!" he exclaimed. "Have your scrapes been tended to? I can have a look at them, if you like? Or offer you my arm, my dear, and escort you to the nearest doctor."

"It was fun," she allowed. "But I'm fine, perfectly bandaged, I promise. How have you been, Edward?"

"If you ever need me to take care of you, Adora, you know where to find me," he offered, gallantly. "I've been somewhat stressed, I must admit. But it is nothing to worry over. You fill many of my thoughtful moments, my dear. How are you?"
