mha lobby | tuesday | august 4

Loki had only made one visit to town hall during the madness last week and that had fucking been enough for him. Too many people, too little to do. Thankfully, things had seemed to work out so being out for his regular shift didn't seem too idiotic.

He was lounging in the lobby chairs, feet propped up and magazine in his lap. It seemed to be a low key kind of day for him. Hey, he had those every now and again. He didn't always need to be fucking doing something.

If he got bored, he'd just go throw things at the doors of the tenants. That could be fucking fun.

[mha is open!]

After having nearly identical conversations with Liir on Sunday night and Rachel in class yesterday, Joan was feeling even more frustrated about the fact that she hadn't been given any direction to help with this latest bout of Fandom weirdness.

So she decided to seek out the one person who was most likely to understand her frustration.

"Busy day?" she asked.

"Not til this afternoon," she said, helping herself to a chair. "I was looking for you. Did you hear about what happened this weekend?"

"I felt useless," Joan said. "I couldn't do anything to help. And He didn't bother to show up and give me any instructions."

"I don't know," she said. "But it's frustrating that He'll show up and make me do random stupid things but when I could really do good, He's nowhere to be found."

"How can He not have a clue?" she asked. "I mean, that doesn't make sense."

As for the notion that people would be stronger dealing with it on their own, well, clearly Loki hadn't spoken with Liir and Rachel.

"Apparently having an in doesn't mean a damn thing when it comes right down to it," Joan said. "Since I couldn't do anything except sit around and wait for people to wake up."

Joan rolled her eyes. "Yeah, well, that doesn't mean I have to like it."

That... hadn't occurred to her. "Did you try to help?" she asked.

Because, okay, that would be more frustrating.

"So you understand then," Joan said. "I figured you would. That's why I stopped by."

"I didn't expect you to make me feel better," she assured him. "It just helps knowing that I'm not alone."

Joan smirked a little at that. "Your secret is safe with me."
