Lobster Hut, Thursday evening

Leto was quite certain that Triela would show up, despite her obvious nervousness about this dinner. She was too proud not to. He also suspected that she had suggested seafood to make him a little uneasy, but it didn't quite work. The Fremen did keep fish to protect their water reserves, after all, even if they tasted differently than those from the sea.

Lobsters, however. Leto wrinkled his nose a little as he looked through the menu, waiting for Triela.

[For one, obviously.]

"Then I'm afraid you're in for a disappointment," Triela smirked. "I don't dream."

Well, more precisely she couldn't remember any of her dreams. But that wasn't a distinction she knew how to make.

"The answer could be the same to both," Triela pointed out.

Triela pondered the question. "Most of the time." She didn't expect to live much past graduation, so she'd never bothered with dreams of the future.

Not before Fandom, anyway.

She responded with a noncommittal shrug. He'd just spent some time convincing her that he was good at reading lies, so she didn't bother.

"I'm not a big fan of sweets, but if they have something fruity I might say yes." Triela sat back in her seat and grinned. "And you can tell me about your dreams."

"Both?" Triela suggested with a shrug.

Triela cocked her head slightly, then smirked in mild amusement. "So your answers are a lot like mine," she teased.

Triela skimmed her own menu, failed to find anything that didn't look way too sweet, and set it back down again before turning her attention to Leto.

"Yeah... at least we have that." She sounded mildly uncomfortable at the prospect.

"No," she shook her head. Then, belatedly, she remembered to add "Thank you."

"I definitely won't do it with one arm next time," Triela agreed.

She was surprised to realize that she'd enjoyed dinner, too, but she wasn't about to tell Leto that.

Triela scowled at the money thing, but didn't say anything. No point in drawing attention to that.

"They're supposed to do the replacement Saturday," she pointed out. "And... what do you mean where would I like to go?" Weren't they... done for the night?
