The Gig, Wednesday [10/28]

The horses had made it known in no uncertain terms that they were not in the mood to go outside today.

Rather than try to fight with all of them, she fed them and cleaned their stalls out around them, before setting up camp on a hay bale in the barn to keep an eye on them.

"I'm sure that is bad," Gwynn said thoughtfully. "However, Phillip had no right to speak to you like he did. He seems to suffer the same ailment most of the men in my family in Briton suffer from."

She grinned. "Those, too. They seem to suffer from the affliction that they know better than me what I should be doing with my life and who I should be seeing."

"I think that's a common ailment among adults of both genders down through history." Tim grinned. It sometimes goes with kids towards their parents too. He had been kind of a jerk to Faust truth to tell.

"Has Conner managed to avoid that trouble?" He still found it rather amusing that his ex girlfriend was dating his former room mate.

"Conner..." Gwynn faltered. "Conner has not met any of my family as of yet." She was picking at the hay in the bale as she talked, obviously thinking about something.

Gwynn was quiet for a long moment, continuing to pick at the hay, and then she lifted her head to look at him.

"I have been considering not returning to Briton after I am finished here."

Wow. Tim sat down on a bale of hay beside her. "That's...a pretty big decision." Especially considering her attitude towards duty that he'd seen in the past.

Gwynn looked back down, picking at the hay and not looking at him. "It's not like I would abandon my King... I would still be just a herald away. The difference is..." She sighed, her shoulders hunched slightly. "I am just not sure I have a place to fit into in my world any longer," she finally said.
