Dite's Decadent Delights, Tuesday afternoon
Raven's mood was better in some ways, but worse in others, when she opened up the shop for the day. She felt much better after talking to Jono and Didi about what had happened on Friday when the healing had failed, though she was always going to feel guilty about giving them false hopes and causing Jono pain. And her failure was eating at her more than she ever thought it would, not just for disappointing Jono, but disappointing herself. Her pride, it stung.
Then there was the matter of Andy's brother, whom she had met on Saturday. Despite her attempts to be friendly and get to know him, he had largely ignored her, and when he hadn't, he'd made uncomfortable comments. She didn't understand why he didn't seem to like her, and she fretted about how that must bother Andy.
She was too distressed to try to read or use her laptop to look for more Rumor Gal spoilers, so instead she sat on the floor toward the back of the store to meditate. Her shifts were usually quiet enough that she wouldn't be disturbed, but she was aware enough to know if someone came inside.
