'Dite's Decadent Delights, Wednesday afternoon

Aprhodite had never been a political person. As a matter of fact, it could be said that Aphrodite was one of the least political people in the world. While she certainly knew who ruled where, it didn't really concern her -- one king was much like another warlo-- preside-- king.

But today? 'Dite was happily paying attention to the legal-political news coming across her laptop news feed. Petting Hercules while eating pecans, she couldn't help grinning as she read.

There was also a new sign in the window that said, 80% off everything with a rainbow!

Shunsui, of course, had been meaning to step into this shop earlier, but, well, there was alcohol, and a plant, and a turtle and a canary to feed. Of course, he just wanted to learn more about his fellow shopkeepers and the general feel of the commerce about town. The wonderfully delightful name and the clear feel of what sort of shop it was from ten feet away had very little to do with Shunsui's decision to breeze through the door, pink haori flapping. Really.

"My, my, my ♥," he said, surveying the place with clear approval, before letting his eyes follow his mind in regarding the effervescent blonde with the radiant...smile. "Is this all your doing ♥?"

"It certainly is!" 'Dite wasn't positive what she was taking the credit for-- the store, the sale, the reason behind the sale -- but she'd certainly take it if it was offered. "I'm 'Dite. And you are?"

"Absolutely charmed ♥!" answered Shunsui with a grin, and he truly, truly was. "But you may call me Shunsui ♥. How fortunate that I should come in when the owner of such a..." His eyes passed around the items surrounding him, in so much approval, intrigue, fascination, "...lovely shop is here ♥! Or is it that you simply work here, but the owner was so impressed with your beauty and obvious grace that he named it in honour of you instead ♥?"

This man? Had a silver tongue if she'd ever heard one. "Oh, no, it's allll mine."

The flirting was natural as she leaned over the counter and smiled. "Shunsui -- how is it you haven't been into see me before this?" 'Dite added just a little pout at the end.

A pout like that left Shunsui wondering that same exact thing.

"Well," he said, sighing slightly, almost sadly, "let me tell you a little secret, 'Dite-chan ♥."

And, of course, such telling of secrets required the utmost privacy, so he leaned in, drawing the hat down to shadow his eyes and leave only his smirk visible. "You see, I am a terrible sloth; I have been spending all my time reveling the fruits of setting up my own shop that I have sorely neglected my task of tracking down the most beautiful women on the entire island."

Here, he nudged his hat up enough so that he could now look at her. "If only I'd have known the search would be so easy ♥! Got it in one ♥!"

He was enjoying himself way, way too much.

Oh, this was fun. 'Dite hadn't enjoyed herself this much since the early days of flirting with Max, and while she didn't see this necessarily going down the same path, it was still fun.

And she could use a little fun. It was the perfect day for it.

"Ahh! You set up your own shop? How exciting!" She clapped her hands, then tilted her head. "And just what was is so exciting in your shop that you waited until now to come see the go-- um, me?"

For some reason, she just couldn't find it in her to use the title again.

"All the booze I can handle ♥!" said Shunsui cheerfully; considering how much booze he could handle, that spoke volumes for Turtle & Canary's selection. He grinned widely, then shrugged with a contradicting, modest sort of shrug as he added, still pleased, but more low-key, "Plus, I've been getting our new mascots, Turtle-kun and Jane-chan, accustomed to the place ♥. I can hardly say I set it up; I more sort of...slid in ♥."

He tended to do that quite often.

"Booze is good." She nodded, then narrowed her eyes in thought. "Turtle-ku-- oh! You took over Turtle & Canary! That's what you meant you slid in, you sly dog, you." She winked and grinned widely, appreciating his wit. "So you're bringing in an official mascot? That's excellent! I have one of my own." And she pointed toward Hercules, who was chewing on an empty box of rainbow condoms.

The box had been emptied into the bowl on the counter, where the sign said, Be safe! Be happy! Be Freeee! And yes, the condoms certainly were.

Shunsui regarded Hercules for a moment and couldn't help thinking of how...colourful that was going to be when it came on out the other end if the condoms had actually been in there.

"Wonderful things to have, mascots ♥!" Shunsui firmly put his attention back toward the beautiful woman. "Good for keeping you company, though I can think of much better company still &hearts."

There was just nearly a wink there, but not quite. Mostly just his smile. "Would would like some sake, 'Dite-chan ♥?" Of course, he had some with him, tucked away inside his haori, and he presented the jug just then. "You seem in quite the mood to celebrate &hearts, and I know of no better way to do so ♥."

Her eyes widened in delight. "Oh, I love sake! I always thought that if the Japanese had something like our nectar of the gods, it would taste exactly like sake." 'Dite held out her hand and a small porcelain cup appeared in it. "Would you be a dear and pour?"

A light of clear appreciation for someone who had their own seemingly-appearing-out-of-no-where cup flashed across Shunsui's face before it settled into the constant smirk that had been there practically since entering the shop. "Of course ♥," he said, pulling out the cork, which made a deep, echoing plonk sound, and he tipped the jug carefully to pour it slowly. "Ladies first ♥."

"Why, thank you, sir." 'Dite winked before sipping from her cup. She closed her eyes in appreciation. "Oh, yes." Another sip, and she grinned at Shunsui. "That's marvelous -- where did you find that? I would guess not here on the island." 'Dite offered the cup back almost half full. "Here, share with me -- it's a great day for a celebration!"
