The Magic Box, Monday

Alex was situated behind the counter, occupied by drawing whatever popped into her head in her sketchbook. She was currently sketching out an outfit she'd seen in a store window. She was modifying it to her tastes.

The Magic Box is open.

Ino, today, actually had something in mind for her discussion with Alex.

"Alex," she chirped, coming in with hot chocolates. "You busy today? Hi!"

"Hey Ino," Alex replied. "Eh, not really. More bored than anything." Hence her sketching. "What's up?"

"Lots of things," she admitted leaning against the counter and offering Alex one of the hot chocolates. "Do you know a whole lot 'bout magic?"

"Thanks." Alex was never one to turn down hot chocolate, whatever time of year it might be. She took a sip before continuing. "You could say that, sure, what with my being a wizard."

She wasn't about to hide that fact from Ino. "A wizard who's still learning," she amended. "Is there something regarding magic I could help you with?"

"A little bit," Alex replied, thinking back to WizTech and that time with the mummy. "Though that all depends on what the curse entails," she added.

"Numbers bein' used without intent for somethin' silly and subsequently bad things happenin'?" Ino said, frowning a bit. "Which sounds--odd to me, but I don't know magic."
