The Park [just after sunset]

Sookie found herself a spot to wait, after texting Eric her location (on a park bench. ffs can't you just smell me or something?) She tried not to tap her foot with anxiety, but it was a hard thing. She was still sort of worried that somehow, having the vampires here would merge the two worlds she did her best to keep separate.

It would have been so much easier if she'd just gotten Jason to come. Sure, Bobby would have been threatened with bodily harm, but otherwise, everyone would have just had a nice weekend with lots of beer and fried food.

Stupid vampires.

[for the two who are coming! If you'd like to meet Pam and/or Eric, feel free to assume Sookie sent you a text, too, or just wander through.]

"If anyone dings my car in that parking lot," Eric drawled, "I will track them down, make them pay for the repairs, and then drain them dry."

Hello to you, too, Sookie.

"I'll call off the hooligans I was going to have go over and cover it with Vaseline, then," Sookie said, rolling her eyes. "I suppose a 'hello' or even a 'nice to see you, Sookie,' are beyond you?"

"If you were going to have them cover my car in Vasoline, yes," Eric decided. "No social niceties for you, Miss Stackhouse."

"A thousand years and still no sense of humor," Sookie tsked. "And speaking of social niceties, you know what's nice? Not inviting yourself places. What if I'd had plans, huh?"

Pam was standing a foot or two behind Eric, naturally looking annoyed with the world. She didn't find the small town thing to be charming in the least.

"Sookie," Pam greeted, still managing to be polite despite her bad mood. "You're looking...lovely."

Underage, but lovely. She was allowed to look, god knows there wasn't anything else to do here.

Eric's expression said that he found that idea to be very unlikely.

"Then Pam and I could have explored alone," he said, sounding a little too excited by that prospect. "Please feel free to run along if we're interfering with your many social engagements."

"You're way nicer than Eric," Sookie decided with a little wave. "Hi, Pam. Sorry he dragged you out here. Welcome to Fandom."

"Oh, no," she said, wagging a finger at him. "No, no, no. I've already blocked out my weekend for vampire-sitting, don't you worry. I don't plan to leave you unsupervised at all."

"Thank you. This place is...small. But still a step up from Bon Temps," Pam decided. "And don't you worry about me getting dragged here. I like it when Eric owes me favors."

"That's why I hired the Estonian with the big breasts," Eric said, always helpful.

"...I was happier when I didn't know that," Sookie offered. "Anyway. I don't even know why either of you is here. There's nothing to do."

There was plenty to do. She just didn't want them doing it.

Eric sighed heavily, a clear affectation. "Well that sounds thrilling. And after the ten minutes it takes to cover this island, what shall we do?"

"Well you are right about that," Pam said with a frown. "If I didn't know any better I'd say you weren't happy to see us."

Who wouldn't want to see Pam and Eric? The idea was unthinkable.

So a teenage boy, a multi-millionaire, and an Asgardian demigoddess walked into a park...

Because yeah, as if Bobby was gonna make Sookie deal with her vampire "friends" all on her own.

"Sooo, what've we missed? I'm guessing there's no joyful hugging portion to this gathering."

"It's sad," Eric agreed, nodding. "Normally there's a parade when we come to town."

Or torches and pitchforks as he was leaving. It was so difficult to keep these things straight after a thousand years.

"Don't give them ideas," Sookie said ominously, curiously looking over at Warren -- not the Warren she was used to -- and the very pretty woman with Bobby. "Hi."

The Warren in question offered Sookie a smile that was a little lazy, a little friendly, and worlds more confident than anything the Warren that she was used to had probably ever mustered.

"Hi there. Sookie, right?"

He glanced at the others gathered there in the park.

"And company."

Eric gave a laconic wave of his hand. "Oh good," he said to Pam. "We're babysitting tonight."

"What do you mean we?" Pam asked with a faint smirk. Her eyes drifted over to Bobby. "I remember you. You're annoying."

"And you're no fun," Bobby retorted. "So glad to see you again."

Karla had extricated herself from her cousin for a little while in order to meet up with Sookie and the vampires in the park. Not that she didn't adore Morton, but she really did not want him meeting Eric. Not only was she unsure how he'd react to someone so blatantly predatory, but she hadn't gotten around to mentioning a sacrificial orgy yet (and still had several years before she felt she could get around to mentioning it) and she trusted Eric's discretion about as far as she could throw him without Craft.

So it was just Karla who showed up to Sookie's bench with a laconic, "Kiss kiss."

"I don't believe you at all," she told them, shaking her head. "Either of you. You're both so full of it, your eyes should be brown."

That's right. She was so annoyed, she was being vulgar. Heavens.

"Pam, this is my boyfriend, Bobby. Kinda doubt y'all got so far as introductions," she speculated, pointing helpfully and hoping to defuse things a little. "And hi, Warren, you got my name right. It's Sookie, like rhymes with cookie, so good work."

Stop talking, Sookie.

"Hello again," Eric said with a tiny smile. "Maybe you can tell us what there is to do around here. Sookie has been unhelpful."

Val watched the nervous girl dubiously before politely turning to Bobby. "This is your companion?" she asked. After a moment, she added, mildly, "She is lovely." She turned back to Sookie with an inclination of her head. "I am Valkyrie. Bobby has spoken highly of your gifts. He did not mention your eloquence."

Yeah, she could be sarcastic when she felt like it.
