It was Monday, and Ender... was not at the desk. At least not a lot of the time, unless he heard the door opening or closing. Jane had dug up some interesting design schematics yesterday for his laptop, to put in some upgrades, and most of his morning was spent with a soldering iron in his hand.
By the time they were a few hours into the afternoon and Ender had come back from Jaina's class, he was finished. He'd finally made it back to the front of the store, flicking through Ben's datapad of species from his home universe. For him, that practically qualified as downtime above and beyond the call of duty.
