Devil's Nest, Friday Evening

Maladicta did not know who 'Enrigue Iglesias' was or what exactly he liked so much to sing about it. But it was a minor step up from her last evening at the club. At least the music didn't make her want to find a nice stake to fall on.

She was able to ignore the music at the very least. And drink her coffee from her spot behind the bar. It was a good Friday night.

Eric was in his usual spot, head bopping along with the music as he texted with Pam.

Jaina was here for one reason, which was why she headed over to the VIP section, folding her arms when she got there. There were just some things you never wanted to admit to yourself, let alone say aloud to someone else, and she wasn't happy about saying it.

"Fine. You were right."

Yes, it took her three days to be able to admit it.

"I usually am," Eric said smugly.

"You know it's still in my head? I've spent all this week training and punching things to a beat in my head," she said casually.

"I'd say I'm sorry, but I'm really not," he said with a smirk.

"Not even gonna try to fake it, huh?" she said, narrowing her eyes at him. "So fine, you win. When are we going?"

"Well, we both work tomorrow," Eric replied, and yes, he knew her schedule, "and going clubbing on a Sunday just reeks of desperation and unemployment. You teach Monday. How's Tuesday?"

"Tuesday's good," she said, tilting her head. "You know when I work?"

"I pay attention to a lot of things," Eric said, lips quirking up, "and yes."

"You don't know where I live, too, do you?" she asked, half-joking.

"Even if I did, you'd have to invite me in before it really mattered," Eric replied.

"Well, I might be making you pick me up for the last three days of musical torture I've endured," she told him. "So whether or not you know matters."

"Perhaps you should tell me, then," Eric said with a smile.

Even though he knew. Creeper.

"MCA, number six. Though we'll see whether or not I invite you in." She had noticed that he hadn't actually answered her question, after all.

"Well, if I'm picking you up, that also means I'm driving," Eric said, grinning.

He loved his car.

"We'll negotiate if I get to come in or not later." Even without trying to glamor her, Eric was pretty charming.

She had definitely noticed this, yes.

"Negotiate?" she repeated, smirking a little. "Okay then. I'll see you on Tuesday."

"It's a date," he said, smiling broadly.
