A Corner of the Park [Early Sunday evening]

Finding a corner of the park that didn't bear the remnants of the morning's celebration had actually taken more work than Triela had expected it to. Apparently she'd never dealt with Viking parties before.

But things had been managed, food had been laid out. Nothing fancy, but... not just chips and salsa. This was something Triela had planned, after all, and that demanded a certain amount of decorum. As much as you could get with paper plates, anyway.

Hilshire was there, of course, but he'd been told in no uncertain terms that he was to stand off to the side and not interfere. And then he'd gotten a glare for daring to smile in slight amusement at her tone. He'd complied, though, so he was standing off to the side looking... sad.

Not that Triela looked over to check on him or anything. Certainly not with any frequency.

Now she simply had to wait for her guests to arrive.

[Triela's having a little going-away party for herself. A chance to say thank you to her friends. If you think she would have written you an invitation, she did, and if you just want to stumble upon this out of the way corner of the park, feel free.]
[Warnings in the Incident thread for major medical collapse.]

Hilshire was standing off to the side. He was good at that.

And... seeing Triela like this, in her element, and... seeming to have it together... Well, it was nice.

Maybe he was worrying about nothing. Maybe things weren't as dire as the medical section back in Rome kept insisting. It'd at least be nice to believe that for an hour or two.

Leda's hair was still blue and gold, but she was dressed in a modest, if very nice dress. She still had the combat boots though.

"Hey you." she smiled.

He had received an invite and of course he was going to stop by. Leto was curious to see how Triela was doing. They had spoken briefly a few months ago Fandom time - which of course was a lot longer ago for Leto.

He picked up a few nibbles, mostly for politeness sake.

Dolf got there, of course. She'd taught him a lot over the year, and he wasn't about to skimp out on saying goodbye to a friend.

He might even have looked a bit sad upon arrival, though he had a smile pasted on his face.

"Thank you for inviting me," he replied, smiling at her. "It's been a while, for me at least."

"I wasn't going to miss it," Dolf said, with perhaps more earnesty than he'd be willing to admit to. "Everything looks nice. And smells less like mead. And congratulations."

Look at him, fitting so much into so few words.

"No reason at all why you wouldn't," he said with a laugh. "So, have you made plans?"

"How long were you here anyway?" Dolf asked. "I mean, obviously you've always been here since I got here."

"My offer still stands," he said softly. "But I assume you knew that."

"Thanks. I did it for graduation, but I haven't felt like changing it yet. Congratulations by the way."

Dolf whistled. "That is a pretty long time," he agreed. "If I stay here the whole time, I won't be longer than three, I think." He hesitated for a moment, then asked, "What are you doing next?"

"If you choose to play that game I'm going to assume it's a 'no'." Yes, Leto was actually a little disappointed.
