Devil's Nest - Evening
There was a lot of commotion going on up at the school, but Isabela couldn't quite care. It was the commotion in town that interested her more, at the least ones that ended up with fun or gold for her.
She smirked as the table in the lounge where a bunch of Vikings - that was how everyone kept calling them - were passed out from drinking too much Everclear. They were like dwarves in a manner, and even easier to manipulate. The only evidence of her crime was the play card sticking to the wannabe dwarf's head and the sack of coin she had safely stored under the counter.
It'd been almost too easy.

Re: The bar
"Hello?"
Re: The bar
She glanced up from cleaning her knife (look, she had to do something useful) and raised an eyebrow. Okay, maybe she'd pause the cleaning for him, if he proved not to be dull. "Hello," she replied, very obviously checking him out before she continued. "You look a little lost."
Re: The bar
"I think that would be a rather astute summary of it," he admitted, forcing his eyes away and over to the knife. "Is this also a restaurant?"
Because that is just what you think when a busty woman cleans a knife at a bar. Yes.
Re: The bar
"No. It's a club," she said, which kind of beat her what the difference was. It just was a cleaner sort of tavern to her.
"I think they serve some stuff that's supposed to pass as edible," she replied. Yeah, so she hadn't been listening to anything Tiny had been saying. "Personally, I find the drinks more interesting."
Re: The bar
Re: The bar
"I believe they call it whiskey," she said, grabbing a bottle and a glass and pouring out a rather unhealthy amount. "Which has a surprisingly lack of rat droppings."

Re: The bar
Only if you count books and papers everywhere. And one too many empty coffee containers from all nighters.
Re: The bar
Re: The bar
Reed blinked at the 'handsome' comment, nearly choking again on his very tiny sip of the whiskey. "I did some NASA training if that counts."
It most certainly did not.

Re: The bar
She so got bonus points if she got him to choke again.
Re: The bar
Re: The bar
"Isabela," she introduced herself as she leaned forward on the bar. If that got him a nice view, then so be it. "A pleasure, I'm sure. And with magic I mean the kind where you can throw ice and fireballs, and demons can up and corrupt you and turn you into an abomination."
She tiled her head. "You're not going to turn into an abomination, are you, handsome?" Shhhhh, the ear thing was cute. "That'd be a downright shame."
Re: The bar
Reed cleared his throat, making the mistake of taking a large sip of the whiskey. "I'm not so sure about 'demons,' but the other two are simple enough." Just give him an hour and a whiteboard. Oh, and one annoying lecture about family.
Re: The bar
"So you're an apostate?" she asked, belatedly realising that probably meant nothing to him. "You're a mage?"
Re: The bar
Re: The bar
Re: The bar
Neeeeerd.
Re: The bar
Guess which hers was, Reed. Guess.
Re: The bar
"I suppose you're right," Reed replied suddenly feeling like am innocent little fish in the presence of a shark. He cleared his throat. "We all have our strengths and weaknesses."
Re: The bar
She was just going to poor herself some more whiskey.
Re: The bar
Science things.
"What are you good at then?" Reed asked, immediately regretting it.
Re: The bar
She shrugged and in one fluid motion retrieved a knife from her back, tossing it up and catching it again. "I'm pretty damn good with these."
Re: The bar
Re: The bar
Isabela laughed and shrugged a shoulder. "The taverns I'd usually go to, yes? So far this has been too quite," she wrinkled her nose. "Almost boring, but it's not like this is my calling. I'm a Captain."

Re: The bar
Though she supposed as long as it stayed away from the Qunari, she could handle it.
