After visiting Ariel at Pixie Dust, Kate figured she might as well stay in town for a bit. She hadn't been at the Perk for a while, and the weather seemed to call for a hot drink she didn't have to make herself. She was pretty much fantasizing about a nice, gigantic cup of hot coffee the entire walk over.

Of course, at the Perk, it turned out the baristas were as strict as ever. Only on especially traumatic occasions, that was their rule. Other than that, coffee was off limits to her. With a sigh, she settled for an extra chocolatey hot chocolate and claimed a table by the window. Looking outside, she wondered what the weather was like back where their fair island should have been, and whether she'd get the nice weekend she was so hoping for.

She was choosing to be cautiously optimistic about it. Other good things had happened this week, after all.
