Stark Industries | Saturday
So between being a lemur and being a hooker, Topher had missed two weeks of work, which was why the giant STARK INDUSTRIES sign came as a surprise to him. Not so much of a surprise, however, that he was persuaded to do actual work. No, that would be crazy talk.
Instead, he flopped down behind the desk and started working on a configuration for some of the ideas he had for minivan lasers.
As you do.
Stark Industries was open!

"Topher."
He had a way with words.

Yes.
"I work for the crazy chick with the weird hair."

Don't ask what he's doing there or anything, Topher.

Luckily he hadn't taken apart all the phones to figure them out.

"I... work... here," he said slowly, enunciating. "Me... Topher. You... customer?"

The missing link in the conversation! The one that should have been relatively easy to find, but this was Topher, after all.
"Pleasure to make your acquaintence." And that was only about sixty percent sarcastic!

But yes.

It was cruel, really.

Whose name he hadn't been bothered to remember.
no subject
Because Howard didn't know what they were and how annoying they were.
no subject
Hey, now, Topher. Kate had perfectly normal hair.
no subject
"Only if you do something wrong."
no subject
He looked like he was considering that for a moment, then decided, "Nah."

"So, like, did you need something?"
Yes, Topher, this was how to speak to your boss.

no subject
...Yes. Still the future.

He left his laptop unattended (whatever, he had others) and meandered over to where the coffee was brewing.
"So," he said. "Stark. Is that, like...?"

Howard seriously needed to stop messing with the poor kid. Considering he only had maybe a decade of age on Tony... awkward.

"Gotcha," Topher said. How weird that Tony hadn't mentioned anything!
Oh, wait, had he? He remembered something from when he was a lemur, but he had been preoccupied by longing for a video game controller.
"I didn't know Tony was from the past..."

Really, Howard? SO CRUEL.
