The Perk | Wednesday Evening
Right, so the truth was, April really didn't need any coffee.
She needed the opposite of coffee. The anti-coffee. Alcohol.
But no, April was fresh out of alcohol, and still waiting for her parents to send her some cash for the month, so she was just going to hang out in the Perk, steal the free wi-fi, and try not to get overly weird about eating this banana she'd brought from her apartment.
Yeah.
Sex pollen sucked.

This week, he was apparently the kind of guy who paused, stared, and then went in to buy an equally unnecessary coffee to give himself and excuse to watch some more.
He sometimes hated this island.

"Nothin'. You?"

"Talked to a guy with your face earlier," she remarked. "But with different hair and he's scared of piercings."
She'd told Dean that he seemed like the hotter of the two, but now she was starting to second-guess herself. Priestly was pretty hot himself.
...Damn you, sex pollen.

What had Dinah said? Ah yes, leaning. He shifted to rest part of his weight on a nearby table, and despite the sudden, horrifying image that flashed across his mind, it didn't suddenly tip over and send him sprawling to the floor.
"And probably kilts." Which Priestly himself was rocking this evening, oh yes.
Kilts were cool.

"I told him he was kind of a wimp. I bet he can't even cook weird Asian things either."

Or Dean had a beef fetish, whatever.
"You're clearly a woman of refined tastes. A wimp totally wouldn't cut it."

"Well, you'll want a fantastic cook, first off." Duh. "And I'd definitely go with a guy who's not afraid to look be a little different." Like with a mohawk and piercings and tattoos, perhaps.

She might seem like she had a decent enough grasp on the sex pollen situation, but in fact, she kind of wanted to climb Priestly like a tree. She was just a little more composed than some people.

"Sure," he said, the teeeeniest edge behind his cool exterior. "But I'm told a full goatee feels even better."

Not that she was getting up or anything yet. Take it home, Priestly!

Yep, he was totally forgetting that Dean was crashing on his couch, right now. Ah well, hopefully he'd find someone else's bed to crash in, tonight, anyway.
