The Celestial Toymaker

The Celestial Toymaker was, in a word... bored. Of course, he was almost always bored, so this was not particularly new. Also not new was the fact that he was more than a few grapes short of a fruit salad. It was that combination of bored and crazy that led to the creation of his latest little game. He'd stumbled upon Fandom some time ago, rather by accident, actually. It had been Ingvar he'd found first, and seeing what the semi-sentient little island did with the toys he gave it was entertaining enough- for a time. But soon even that grew dull, and he decided to step things up a bit and play with the residents of Fandom himself. There was a little pocket of the universe not being used for anything at the moment, and it was there he began to craft his new world: a beautiful little set of dungeons. Their decor, he thought, was particularly inspired, taken as it was from different points in Fandom's history. He swept through the island, carefully plucking this one, and that one, and this one... he'd entertained the idea, briefly, of taking the whole island's population, but in the end decided to leave some of them behind. That way, he figured, he could have the added amusement not just of his new playthings in the dungeon, but of watching those left in Fandom scramble to figure out what had happened.
