The bookshop was quiet today.
Suspiciously quiet. The kind of quiet that usually meant somebody was up to something. Alana poked through the storage room and the corners of the store, but couldn't find anything. Eventually she went to spend her shift safely behind the counter. She couldn't shake the feeling the books were plotting against her.
