Today at the shop, Cosima was driving herself crazy trying to solve a brainteaser in the form of a math problem for Vietnamese third-graders.
"Oh, come on," she exclaimed in exasperation when yet another solution she thought would work proved itself wrong. "I got an A in calculus, and I'm still dumber than an eight-year-old in Saigon?"
