Disappointments were in the past. And even if everything Jessica thought she learned were true, then there were still plenty of questions to tackle. Whats and whens and hows and such. She wasn't about to start trying to figure out how to peer through time - it was beyond her conceptually right now and posed way too much risk, especially with the indications that space-time was already messed up in her corner of reality - but check in with enough similar places and she was bound to see something worthwhile eventually.
It was when she got readings on a world similar to hers but with furry animal versions of everyone - including a platypus Galactus - that Jessica decided it was time to take a break and maybe focus on cutting through some of Tony's paperwork.
