Outside Pirate Radio- Saturday night

Kitty had thought she would do something nice, and head to Chilly Boulder to get some ice cream to bring home. Clearly they did wild Saturday nights in that house. But on her way there, she was just about to turn onto Minotaur when she found herself stopped by a parade of squirrels carrying art supplies- most notably calligraphy pens- toward the radio station.

"I really hope they paid for those," she muttered.

"Do I want to know?" Allie asked as she approached.

"I don't think so." Kitty shook her head. "Either radio notes are going to be interesting for a while or there's going to be something terrible I have to clean up after listening to radio tomorrow."

Allie shook her head. "And that is why I just listen to the radio. You are braver then me."

"Well, I'm technically in charge of the radio station," she admitted. "So if there's something terrible, I guess that's my job."

"Again, braver then me." Especially because the squirrels were kind of creepy. Not that Allie would ever admit that. "But if the something terrible is creepy and needs killing, you know I'll help out."

"Thanks. Though I think with them, the worst we'd have to deal with is rum and glitter," Kitty said. "If they ever mix the two, we're all in trouble."

"I'm surprised they didn't after last weekend. That was a little insane," Allie said.

"Fun, though, mostly," she said. "By the way, why were you black and white?"

Even though Allie was fairly certain it hadn't been a particularly vivid hallucination, it was nice to have confirmation. "You saw her? Because that wasn't me."

"Really? I thought you were just having some weird Fandom day," Kitty admitted.

"I'd heard it was a thing that happened. And you did see all those versions of that one guy didn't you?" Dean and the Doppelgangers. It was like a band from the seventies. "It's just weird when it happens to you."

"Yeah. Half the people I talked to at Caritas thought I was a different version of me who'd been here before. Including a dead one." That still wasn't any less weird, but she was handling it like a champ.

That was weird enough to make Allie shiver. "Creepy. Did you know about that before the weekend?"

"Yeah, I found out about it a couple years ago. It's not a big deal, but still a little weird when people think I'm her," Kitty said, wrinkling her nose.

"Completely understandable. I would do the same," Allie agreed. "My other bit of weekend excitement was finding out that vampire slayers are actually a thing."

"Huh," Kitty said with a little headtilt. "I mean, it kinda makes sense when you think about the bad kinds of vampires."

"Oh yeah, I mean, most of the ones I've met are assholes." Less so since she'd come to the island, be even then it was just a matter of degree of assholeness. Yes Navaan, she was looking at you.

"As long as they didn't go after you," Kitty said.

"The vampire slayer? Nah, she was surprised to find out there were friendly vampires here," Allie told her.

"Well, when you're a vampire slayer, that probably is a shock," Kitty grinned. "Oh, Fandom, always messing with people."
