Luke's, Monday

The busboy was wearing a vest made of alligator skin and a hat decorated with alligator teeth. Around his neck was a very large alligator foot on a leather cord. He looked up at Eliot seriously when he came in to check on things, his eyes large and serious.

"I've seen some things," he said.

Eliot just shook his head and went back out of the kitchen to get the coffee started.

Whatever Hardison had planned to say when he came downstairs was immediately forestalled by his attempt at sounding Cajun. Which was, of course, mostly informed by a specific superhero cartoon character from the 90s cartoon.

Hardison gave him a wounded look. "Mon, don' even tell me you cannot tell de difference between Cajun an' Jamaican!" he said, swapping over to a Jamaican a.cent. Sort of. It got a little muddled in the middle, there.

"Yo, don't even front," Hardison said, dropping all the accents. "I do great accents. I did 'em all the time for cons!"

Eliot on the other hand did precisely three accents for cons: his own, a "non" accent, and a pretty terrible Bostonian accent.

But at least he knew that last one was terrible.
