Somebody had decided the world needed a thousand-page regency romance that somehow also involved sexy vampires.
Alana didn't like that person very much. It wasn't so much the book itself -- though what she saw of it seemed dull -- as it was the fact she had to unpack dozens of copies of it and put them on a high shelf. Her arms were sore before she was halfway done.
The book of love is long and boring, she sang resentfully. No one can lift the damn thing. It's full of charts and facts and figures and instructions for dancing...
Singing her way through it did not make the task any more fun.
