Now that her head was clear and the rest of her wasn't trying desperately to get into anyone's pants, Jessica could focus on actual work. Cosima's work from a couple weeks ago was exactly what was needed, and with just a little refinement, the technology would be there. So with that far along and Tony presumably finalizing the power issues, Jessica was focused on the build itself, working on the dampener housing in a shatterproof polycarbonate fixture while researching a kind of strip lighting for the cell bars that would block the light transmittance from the dampener and keep it from escaping the cells.
Or, to put it much more simply, Jessica scienced. As long as nothing on the island distracted her too much, she was confident she could get everything done next week and prepare for the installation after that. But why would anything distracting happen now? Most of the town was gone. Everything was quiet.
