Mary had wanted fruit baskets for the weekend. She was picturing a combination of apples, oranges, bananas, and maybe even grapes if those ones she liked were available. She was pretty sure she communicated all this to Gunther. Instead of fruit baskets, he got her baskets of candy and mumbled something about taking advantage of local ingredients. With a sigh, Mary had the housekeeping staff take the baskets upstairs to be placed in guest rooms.

So why am I not doing room sign-ups this weekend?

1. It's something I've been mulling since last year when there were no sign-ups at all ahead of graduation weekend.
2. The suites aren't as popular anymore, and they're the ones that needed sign-ups and an RNG. I think there were only one or two suite requests for Homecoming and Parents Weekend last year and didn't even need the RNG.
3. The room assignments spreadsheet is a little outdated and in need of a major clean-up.
4. And finally, there's enough hijinks going on around the island this weekend that we don't need hotel-related hijinks.
