The waitstaff was threatening to move into the freezer. Honestly, Eliot couldn't blame them. Even with the island's nicely provided giant sunshade, it was still dreadfully hot outside.
The cook declaring that frying the day's eggs on the literal sidewalk was a great crowd pleasing gimmick to get folks into the diner, on the other hand. . . .
"Do you actually even need me to respond to that?" he asked, as the cook held a pair of eggs over the front patio, his eyebrows waggling. The cook slowly straightened, pulling the unbroken eggs to his chest. "Yeah. 'Swhat I thought."
