The Perk, Saturday Morning

With a nice, completely oversized cup of coffee and a pastry that was... vaguely healthy, Tony was starting the day right. Because he needed some of that while he sifted through some stolen emails JARVIS had grabbed from SHIELD last night to see if there was anything worth looking into.

Something about Paris and the Grey Gargoyle got his attention enough that he'd forgotten about the food as he read. On his phone, because it would seem awkward to stare blankly off into the distance as he did things with his brain.

"Stop doing that," Tamsin said.

She sank down in a seat opposite him, giant cup of coffee in hand. "One day I'm just going to dump this on all of your electronics." Beat. "Yes, I mean your head."

"Maybe I was playing Candy Crush." He was not.

[fjordicswagger]

"Oh please," Tamsin said. "You're way more of a Flow guy."

She took a sip of coffee.

Tony sighed, setting the phone down and closing the programs on it with a glance. "I'm more of a Snood guy. I haven't even thought about that game in year."

[fjordicswagger]

"Right, so what have you been doing?"

Smooth segue, Tam-tam.

"Are you checking in on me?" Tony asked, smiling like this was adorable.

[fjordicswagger]

"No, I'm getting coffee."

Totally checking in on him.

[imafuturist]

His smile only grew. "Love you too, Tamsin."

[fjordicswagger]

"No, we're not doing that," Tamsin said, gesturing at his smile. "Answer the stupid question, Stark."

[imafuturist]

"I'm fine." Fine had a variety of meanings, after all. "I'm... working on plans."

That would probably get him in trouble.

[fjordicswagger]

"How many explosions are these plans going to involve?" Tamsin asked.

[imafuturist]

"Hopefully none," he replied dryly. Then tilted his head to consider it. "I might have a way to contact Asgard."

[fjordicswagger]

"Ah."

Was Tamsin shifting in her seat? Only a little.

[imafuturist]

"And I might need a little help." Hey, he could always ask Jessica or Steve if she wasn't interested.

[fjordicswagger]

"It's just Asgard, right?" Tamsin said, after a long pause. "In general."

Because if this was about Valhalla, she was out.

[imafuturist]

"Just Asgard," he promised. "Not even going there. I just need to get a message through. Though we might have to go to France."

In case she had strong feelings about the French.

[fjordicswagger]

At least her "Uuuugh, the French," comment was a lot less fraught? "Fine, whatever."

[imafuturist]

"You might get to punch a few depending on how it goes," Tony suggested. "Interpol at least."

He was going to have to erase so much footage and make so nice with people once this was all over with.

[fjordicswagger]

"Wait, we're going to France to beat up the French?" Tamsin said, perking up. "Why didn't you say so to begin with?"

"I'd rather avoid the punching if possible." Tony, you were inviting Tamsin. It wasn't possible. "But yes. We need to go to France to see if we can turn an Asgardian sorceress back from stone."

A beat.

"My life was normal at one point. I swear it was."

[fjordicswagger]

"You know, when you put it like that, it sounds like the start of a horror movie," Tamsin pointed out.

[imafuturist]

"Let's just make sure it doesn't end like a horror movie then," Tony replied.
