Shiemi stared at the calendar and pinched her lip. She felt bad for having not come in to help with Mothers' Day and was hoping to help get a little ahead of the next holiday... But were any of these flower holidays?

Ino leaned in the door of the shop and looked around curiously. Huh.

Not much had changed.

Honestly, that was the weirdest part about the island.

"Yo!" she said cheerfully.

Shiemi looked up and smiled at the customer. "Hello. Welcome! Please feel free to come in!"

[intraspective]

"Thanks!" Ino said, suiting words to actions here. "Don't mind if I do. The shop's looking pretty good."

It was nice, she decided. And also weird.

[greenexorcist]

"Thank you," Shiemi beamed happily. "I'm afraid our stock is a little low on the showy flowers today, though."

That's what usually pulled people in.

"You've been in before?"

[intraspective]

"Showy doesn't always mean better," Ino said easily, crouching down to inspect some baby's breath. Her long, long hair floated just an inch off the ground. "And yeah, I used to work here. Like, oh, three years ago? Four?"

Maybe even five?

Between the timeline weirdness, she wasn't quite sure.

She glanced at the girl. "I'm Iris."

Shiemi didn't know much about Fandom timelines yet, but she would. Meanwhile, the customer was simply,

"Ah! A sempai?" Shiemi bowed her head. "Um, I mean a former co-worker. Welcome home; I'm sure the plants missed you!"

And she actually meant that. Though she hoped that there weren't MANY plants that had been at the shop that long, waiting for a new home.

"My name's Shiemi. Nice to meet you!"

[intraspective]

"It's nice to meet you too," Ino said easily, standing and rocking back on her heels.

She grinned, though, and said, in Japanese, "Honestly, 'sempai' is the term I'm more comfortable with too, if it's all the same to you."

[greenexorcist]

"/Ah! You like plants and you speak Japanese?/" Shiemi beamed happily as she switched to Japanese. "/Are you looking to come back to work here? I'm sure that Octavian-san would be happy to hire you! Especially since you have experience./"

[intraspective]

"Ah, no, no! Don't tempt me!" Ino laughed, holding up her hands. "I mean, I have the time, but I own a shop of my own now!"

She probably didn't need a third job on top of her shop and being a Turk.

"I was just curious to see how the place was doing!"

[greenexorcist]

"/There's another flower shop in town?/"

[intraspective]

Ino was... not going to stop laughing any time soon at this rate.

"No! I sell lotions and perfumes, things like that. Things made with flowers."

[greenexorcist]

"/Ah!/" Shiemi clapped excitedly. "/That sounds like my family's shop back home. Do you make tinctures and medicines, too? Or teas? I have to make my own or go home for them when I run out./"

"/What's your shop called?/"

[intraspective]

"Pick Your Poison," Ino said cheerfully. "I thought it was funny. I do make tinctures and medicines. I never really thought about teas, though, but it wouldn't be hard to do, I suppose."

She'd have to think about that.

[greenexorcist]

"/It's not!/" Shiemi was delighted, giggling at the name of the store. "/Although I may be a little biased. Do you make your products? We can order any plants that you'd need./"

Or, you know, get her demon familiar to produce it.
