The Holo-Scene (formerly Quark's), Friday

The shop was almost ready to open. It might have hit this point sooner if Raven hadn't taken so many breaks to go into one of the suites and kill things. But it was almost ready now. She had a juice bar set up where Quark's regular bar had been, because nutrients and hydration were still important even when you were fighting holograms, and a set of rentable lockers so folks aiming for verisimilitude could leave their non-holo-appropriate phones or purses in a secure location. There was a changing room with a variety of costumes, because apparently holosuites didn't do outfits on real people, and she'd almost worked out how to get the replicator functions to work for bespoke props. She'd had large signs made listing some of the scenarios customers could run, with a chalkboard advertising daily or weekly specials. The floors were shined, the walls had a fresh coat of paint, and the lobby was brightly and cheerfully lit.

All she needed to do was set her prices and announce her opening. It was exciting. It was terrifying. She hung a banner out front:

THE HOLO-SCENE
Holographic games and environments, all but indistinguishable from real
GRAND OPENING: MONDAY, MAY 28
get your summer started right with our tropical paradise party special!

It was going to be awesome.
