Furnado Animal Shelter; Friday [09/28].
It was absolutely no surprise to Prompto that his parents couldn't make it for the weekend; his parents hadn't even made it to seeing him off for school when he left Insomnia. He got it, of course. They were busy, they had a lot of things to do, it wasn't anything unusual, he should be used to it by now, but...it was hard not to feel a little dejected about it when other people's parents were more involved.
Kind of a shame Noctis couldn't come, either, which had been a cool idea, but incredibly impractical. Ugh. He was trying not to get down about it, but it was still all pretty freaking lame.
Thankfully, today was also his first day at the animal shelter, which worked for an excellent distraction. It didn't take him long at all to forget about his personal pity party when surrounded by cute and interesting animals and learning from the vet how to take care of them and what he was expected to do while he was here, and even getting in a little bit of a workout slinging some bags of food around.
Hey, so his actual family couldn't be here. No big whoop. He'd just have to hope this new, much more cuddly family would be willing to adopt him into theirs.
