Trooper Station; Monday [02/04].
Rosa had been up in New York for the weekend, which always put her a little on a suspicious edge when she got back to work, especially when she came in to find everything seeming normal and steady and functioning as usual. There was just something fishy about it, especially when the troopers were so casual and dismissive about it when she asked if she'd missed anything particularly stupid over the weekend. There was a pretty stupid holiday on Saturday, after all, there's no way something completely dumb hadn't happened.
But fine. They could pretend like nothing happened all they wanted. They seemed to forget that it was Rosa's job to figure things out.
And that she also had radio reports and security footage.
"I knew you were lying!" Rosa smacked a victorious fist on her desk and turned her computer monitor around to show the irrefutable evidence of who she assumed was Ralph and Calvin milling around on top of their respective desks as groundhogs on Saturday. And she turned the monitor back toward her just in time to watch one of them...she couldn't even tell them apart half the time normally, much less when they were large rodents...took a tumble off the edge of the desk and she snorted, then shook her head. "Too bad you didn't stay that way; would have been a big improvement."
