Demon Marcus, Sunday
Did Sparkle look faintly exasperated when he walked into Demon Marcus to see that everything had turned green?
Why yes. Yes he did.
And did he look even more exasperated when he noticed that anything that once had polka dots was now covered in four-leaf clover print? Yes. Yes he did. And he was collecting that stuff up to go shove in a closet somewhere.
"Gonna piss off someone who knows the difference between a shamrock and a lucky charm," he muttered, opening the door to his storage closet.
... And immediately finding himself buried to the knees in Lucky Charms. The cereal, not the clover.
"Goddammit Fandom!"
Happy Sunday.

He went inside and paused at the amount of green. "Sparkle, did you do this or is the island being helpful?" he called, not immediately spotting him.

Carefully - crunchily - he attempted to make his way out from the pile of cereal.
"Oh god, I'm gonna be picking magically delicious marshmallows from my everything for days."

"Well, my supply closet just attacked me," Sparkle offered. "I just wanted to stash these four-leaf clover things away before any actual Irish people came in here and bit my head off, dammit."

"With.. cereal?" Hernando asked, smiling a little. He headed toward Sparkle, rounding the counter and.. yes, that was a very large drift of cereal. Hernando stayed out of it and waited for his boyfriend to wade on over so he could kiss him hello. "At least it was only cereal," he said philosophically.

He was gonna take it. But he didn't need it.

Cackled.
"Maybe I'll do that, too. I probably have some bags, it wouldn't be my first time just packing up a whole bunch of Fandom weird and saving it for the greater good."

Said, of course, fondly.

"I mean, it doesn't hurt that I like kids. And they're good kids, you know?"
They'd seen some things. More than any kid ever should have to see.

"Nah," he replied, "they were good kids way before I ever came along. But... I dunno. Maybe I can help them be good adults eventually, you know?"

He huffed a little laugh, ducking his head a bit.
"Yeah, I like kids."
Which he'd already made pretty clear, but apparently it bore repeating.

His fingers stroked through Sparkle's hair again, moving it back off his forehead. The question was right there waiting to be asked and so he asked it. "Do you think you would like to become a parent or foster parent someday?"
no subject
He toyed at his bottom lip with his teeth for a moment.
"Someday, yeah," he replied. "Somehow. I mean. I have a lot of shit I need to sort out first, you know? But... like... yeah."
no subject
"Not a plan for tomorrow," he assured him, "Only for someday. For now, there are only fish in our immediate future. Which was what I originally came here to ask you. When would you like to go shopping?"
no subject
"Oh. Oh, right. Your tank's probably got a good culture going on in there now, right? Okay, so..." He was not going to flail. At all. Even a little. It was just fish. "So maybe... I dunno. What day works for you?"
Sparkle, you were the one with multiple jobs.
no subject
He laughed a little, "Baby, I'm busy Thursday and Saturday and sometimes Monday night if we go dancing. How is your schedule?"
no subject
He shrugged. He was cool for those.
no subject
He would have suggested having Sparkle come over that evening but he had noticed Atton was at Caritas and didn't want to intrude on the one day a week Sparkle had with his roommate.
no subject
And then, a grin.
"I think we'll have energy for dancing. But I might claim you for couch cuddles while we watch the fish..."
no subject
He kissed him again. "Then let me change that to 'if we are awake'. I think that couch has a magical lethargy field attached. How else do so many couch cuddles turn into couch naps?"

Fandom pride!
"... But we have a tank, so we're going for fish. Guppies, right?"
no subject
He considered the type of fish and shrugged, "Guppies or other interesting fishes. I liked the little bright ones but there could be different fish this time. Also some plants for these fish and Milady."
His smile was a little dopey. Sparkle had said 'we'.
no subject
"We'll see what catches our eye, then," he replied. "Guppies or tetras or danios or whatever little zippy friends they have."
