The Perk, Tuesday morning

It was a pretty normal week - or at least, nothing was trying to kill them yet - so Miguel was going to take advantage of it.

Mostly by going out, getting a very large black coffee, and planting himself at the coffee shop with a plan to do mostly the same all day. Coffee, more coffee, and dicking about on his phone.

This place was supposed to be his low-key retreat.

And 'lo, Iris was going to saunter on in, get a hot chocolate that was mostly whipped cream and an apple fritter, and then drop herself down at Miguel's table without so much as a by your leave.

"Yo, stranger," she said cheerfully.

Miguel raised his coffee cup to her. "Hey, long time, no see. What've you been up to?"

[intraspective]

"Oh, you know, hidin' out, gettin' roped into the weekly shenanigans… that sort of thing," she said, since she wasn't really in the mood to talk about Zack right now. "You?"

Miguel shrugged. "Mostly the same. Glad to have a pretty normal week so far, wondering where it's going to go." He waved his phone briefly. "Trying to find a dimension that makes antigrav or flying suits." As you do.

Iris grinned at him.

"What, you ain't keen on trackin' down the onesies from last week?" she teased. "I hear those flew!"

"Yeah, that's the problem." Miguel rolled his eyes. "Sparkle wants one for good, and I'm a sucker."
