It was safe to say that Verity had been preparing her whole life for this. The Prices knew that one day, one of their bastions might be invaded and need to be taken back.

And so she prepped. She dug ditches and trenches. Lined traps with d4s and the spikiest Legos she could find. Remembered some of Antimony's most ingeniously evil traps and did her best to recreate them with bits of toys.

She didn't get much sleep, but then, she didn't need any did she? One of the few benefits of being a toy.
