Community Center Class: Modern Earth Entertainment, Monday

"Right." Miguel crossed his arms. "So you may have noticed a lot of this week is about shopping. Spending money and buying things. These days you can do a lot of it online, thank god, but in the past a lot of people went to these things called shopping malls - basically mini-cities with a lot of different stores in one place. They were overcrowded and noisy and terrible, and there are tons of reasons not to go to one. This movie's another one. So sit back, have some food - there's plenty of chocolate today, thanks, island - and enjoy the fact you don't have to."

Honestly, Amaya was just looking forward to snacks that weren't chocolate. And, yes, obviously, there was plenty around all day that wasn't chocolate, but after having to confront a person-sized chocolate Santa at the top of her stairs when she went down into the shop today and then having to deal with it melting because a forge was no place for a giant person-sized chocolate Santa, it was the principle of the matter.

She'd be quite fine if she didn't see another piece of chocolate for at least a week, but, considering the snow yesterday, the chocolate today, they were clearly in the first throes of December, and Amaya was not looking forward to the near full month of nonsense they were about to endure.

Amaya didn't really have any deep thoughts on consumerism and sexual mores; she was mostly just really into the robots and the various traps the protagonists had set up in their attempts to thwart them.

But what she was really excited about with this one, once it really got rolling, was going to be the commentary from the peanut gallery on this one.
