Jesse didn't need to go through the motions of being mayor. She could've shirked the responsibility. But the more she read, the more she heard, the more interesting this island turned out to be.
I can't get distracted from getting back to Dylan... but if I'm stuck here anyway, I might as well use my time well. Right?
So she was in the mayor's office today, filling in an incident report about her own arrival here. Sometimes you could learn a lot just from the kind of information requested on a government form, and--
"'Did the incident involve turning into an animal'," she read aloud. "Hm... no."
