Lucille didn't expect many customers today, and she would close early to go to the picnic, and the picnic was also a good excuse for finishing the Mother's Day flower arrangements as quickly as possible. She was tempted to make one out of thistles and thorns for her own mother and then drench it in lamp oil and set it on fire. It remained in her imagination, but the long process of torturing it provided a good distraction while working on the pretty ones.

Hopefully at least some of them were for nice mothers.
