The park, Tuesday afternoon
"Listen up, Probie," Travis said, voice deadly serious. "This is important. You don't obey your captain when we're on a call and people could die, alright?"
Probie, Travis's brand new pitbull puppy, yawned widely and got distracted by a butterfly.
Travis snapped his fingers to get her attention again. "Eyes forward, Probie. Now, let's go over this again. Sit."
Probie trotted towards him, tripping over the edge of her shiny new fire dog vest.
"No," Travis said. "No, sit. Siiiiiit. Probie, sit."
Probie licked his hand. Travis sighed and rubbed her ears as she panted happily.
"We'll keep working on that one."
