Was the shop trying to be nice to her? Was there a special reason? Lucille wasn't sure, but the place was full of black roses and white lilies, the scent of the latter filling the air.
Still, the bonsais needed her care, and she had realised she cared about them more than she had expected. Especially two of them, two that looked particularly gnarly and tortured and yet managed to flourish. She was never going to sell those.
