Prompto had followed Liz's glance over to the dunk tanks, where he had to snort a little bit and tell himself that, one of these days, he really should dunk the Bus Dean, but, really, he'd probably done enough to that poor man with the bus stuff in the first place, and then he started to wonder what Liz might think about all those shenanigans, and that was when he turned back to her and opened his mouth to start to say something, but then caught that little trailing voice and was firmly reminded of what they were both, supposedly, doing there.

"Um," he offered, swallowing down a lump that was going to be probably be a good friend in his throat today, and fighting against the urge to lick his lip, because he was pretty sure that would only make things worse, and his eyes seemed to be unable to look even anywhere near her. "So..."

He tried desperately to think of somethign clever to add, since that wasn't exactly bringing anything new to the conversation now, was it? And he supposed now would probably be a good time to ask if she'd actually come over to maybe kiss him, but just straight up asking that was...

"So, uh," he felt like his mouth was moving without much input from his brain, just going off on whatever he could find that seemed safe and comfortable and not prone to making him flail, "he's probably doing that for a while now, huh? I bet that guy is older than even this whole island at this point."
