After being covinced to turn down a potential job this weekend (for a couples' costume!), Rosa had a lot of work today reaping the benefits of the seeds she'd sown in lieu of said job refusal. It was a gamble, but she'd always liked a risky bet, and the client had played perfectly into her hand. It was pretty simple, really. She'd just recommended they went with this other detective that she knew would fuck it up and do a bad job, which, sure, meant that they would find Rosa unreliable for a bad recommendation and go elsewhere, but, as she suspected, that just made them more eager to work with her instead.
So she was actually pretty busy that day, once that email reached her inbox, laying out a plan and making a few contacts to get some work for them done this weekend instead.
She was still kind of bummed that this meant having missed out on doing investigative work at some big New York halloween party, but she had gotten to see Kitty as a small blue fuzzy monster by sticking around Fandom instead, plus potentially getting her own UMF suit out of it now too, so it kind of balanced itself out.
