True to her word, Irene had cleaned up most of the Halloween-related merchandise and shoved it off on a table just inside the entrance with a sign declaring 'HALF OFF SPOOKY THINGS.'
And now the display greeting customers was resplendent with candy-cane striped toys and pumpkin-spice flavored lube, as well as a few tasteful candles in holiday scents. Look, candles sort of went with all of this, didn't they? Irene would be happy to explain about hot wax to anyone who needed clarification.
And they also smelled nice.
