Hannibal didn't make a habit of visiting the diner, no, but he was looking for a specific meat (no, not that one!) and his distributor had run out, so he thought to come by to ask if he could get it from them.

And walked into an argument about how to make a proper frittata.

He waited a few minutes politely, deciding whether stepping in or watching would be more fun.

Then he ordered coffee.
