The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night
Lucifer's poor partners had spent the day dealing with him going through all the stages of coping - about the bloody Santa hat.
It was ugly. It wouldn't leave. He barely had anything that matched!
... Except the red velvet suit he'd eventually put on this afternoon, when he'd consented to leave the bedroom to start prepping for work. Along the way he'd added a golden garland to the ensemble, and now it was almost, somehow, a fashion statement.
"No, I'm not 'fancy Santa', Tiny," Lucifer said irritably. "And you can get behind the piano tonight." Beat. "Actually, don't. You're terrible."
