The Photo Hut - Tuesday
The energy that Liz had had over the weekend seemed to have mostly gone now and she was finding it hard to focus on anything. After she opened up the store for the day, her first task was taking down all the Christmas decorations but that didn’t take very long and then she found herself pacing restlessly around the store before she decided to start rearranging the stock around the store and change up the layout.
She was still having trouble falling asleep, even after she had spoken to Travis at the party and he had invited her to come round to the fire station for fire safety tips. She thought if she had talked to him it might have helped settled her mind enough that she could at least sleep but she had only managed a couple of hours on and off last night on top of the lack of sleep she’d had since that weekend.
Part of it was that sleeping terrified her … all she could see was the fire and Travis catching fire it didn’t take much for that fire to manifest as a result of her nightmares - that was how it had started back when she was a child … burning her sheets because she’d dreamt of fire. On top of her recent episodes … the idea of sleep … seemed impossible now.
So she was now keeping herself busy with rearranging the stock, even though it was probably not the smartest idea with her lack of sleep but it seemed to be the only thing that she could focus on right now.
